Best Coast’s latest offering, California Nights (Harvest / EMI), is set for release on 1 May, and stands as the band’s most cultivated effort to date. It is a brighter, more sparkly, more sophisticated, more psychedelic Best Coast album across the board, embodying the rich lightness and stinging darkness of a California state of mind. With sounds reminiscent of a wide range of musical mammoths – Weezer, Blink-182, Gwen Stefani, Patsy Kline, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Drake, and more – Best Coast will be bringing their sun-drenched Californian sound to the Australian winter.
