Jason Mraz is yours Australia!
By demand, second Melbourne show just announced, and Perth show moves to larger venue
With his Melbourne show at the Forum Theatre now completely sold out, Chugg Entertainment is thrilled to announce a second show for the Melbourne fans, who it seems can’t get enough of Jason Mraz.
The second Melbourne show will take place at the Prince of Wales Bandroom on Wednesday 13th August with tickets going on sale this Friday, 27th June through Ticketek. Jason Mraz is an old hand at the venue having played a sell out show at the Prince of Wales two years ago and again in March of this year.
In March, Mraz’s shows featured percussionist Toca Rivera, bass player Ian Sheridan and drummer Mike “Leroy” Bram. This time all of his band mates will join him as well as a three-piece horn section, for the biggest live show Mraz has ever brought to Australia.
Following a stand out performance at the Point Nepean Festival, and the sold out show at the Prince of Wales in March of this year, as well as the recently sold out Forum, it’s expected that tickets will be snapped up quicker than ever for this newly announced second Melbourne show.
The demand from Jason Mraz fans is just as high on the West Coast, with Chugg Entertainment announcing today that the Perth show will move from the Fly By Night to the Capitol. With tickets exhausted less than three weeks after going on sale, there was no option but to move the Perth show to a bigger room.
Patrons who have already purchased tickets for the Fly By Night show not need to exchange their tickets or make any additional arrangements due to the move to the Capitol. Additional tickets following the venue change are on sale now through Moshtix.
“I’m Yours”, the first single released from his new album “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things” has already been added to radio station play lists across Australia. A long time crowd sing-a-long favourite thanks to Mraz’s myspace super friends, the warm breezy tune set to an island tempo is making waves and winning him new fans around the country.
Over the years, Jason Mraz has not rested on the success of his debut record “Waiting for My Rocket To Come” and the follow up release “Mr A-Z”. Instead he has been continually touring, performing everywhere from people’s backyards to the opening spot on the Rolling Stones arena show. The fans that keep coming back again and again will tell you that every Jason Mraz show is different and this tour will be no exception.
Mraz has an accomplished, versatile voice, a crossword geek's love of language and the kind of fun-loving live show that makes people spread the word. (Rolling Stone)
Well, word is spreading fast…and tickets are selling faster. Come on see for yourself what all the fuss is about. Jason Mraz and band, appearing in Australian venues this August.
