Finally, the wait is over.

THE KOOKS have just confirmed their first-ever Australian tour dates scheduled for late-August.

The recent release of THE KOOKS #1 UK sophomore album KONK, smashed into the Australian Top 10 Motorola ARIA Album Chart which made the demand for the band's music in our country clearly evident - it was time to tour Australia.

Lead singer, Luke Pritchard said, "We're so excited to finally be coming to Australia and playing our live show to our fans. We realise its taken a while to get there but on this record we were absolutely determined to ensure Australia was a country that was on our touring schedule. We've heard so much about the place..."

Back in 2006, the British indie pop-rockers released their critically acclaimed debut album INSIDE IN / INSIDE OUT which has since sold over 1 million albums across the globe. Locally, the band's ever growing fanbase saw album sales reach over 20,000 copies of their debut album - not a bad effort - considering they hadn't even toured the country yet.
