Laneway Festival are thrilled to announce that Of Monsters and Men will now appear at the Adelaide and Perth editions of the festival. A change in the band's international touring schedule now allows them to perform on the full national St Jerome's Laneway Festival. The band announced their new dates this morning in a special message for Adelaide and Perth you can watch HERE.

We're also excited to announce that the supports for their sold out sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney, with only a handful of tickets remaining for the Byron Bay sideshow, are Vance Joy and Phebe Starr. Melbourne-based folk-pop troubadour Vance Joy will join Of Monsters and Men at each of the sideshows, with the addition of rising songstress Phebe Starr in Melbourne!

OF MONSTERS AND MEN
CONFIRM LANEWAY SIDESHOWS

“There must be something in the Icelandic waters because yet another musical gem has come out of the countery near the Arctic Circle.”
Tone Deaf - The Corner Hotel, July 2012

“… the reasons for their success are simple: terrific songs that combine the folky with the epic, and instantly infectious choruses…”
The Guardian UK

Following their critically lauded sell-out tour of Australia in July, Of Monsters And Men were just last month announced on the upcoming Laneway Festival lineup for 2013. Chugg Entertainment can now confirm that in additon to their festival appearances the band will also be playing their own headline shows to fans across the east coast.

Amongst their festival dates in Auckland and across Australia, Of Monsters And Men will take the stage at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Tuesday 29 January, The Northern in Byron Bay on Thursday 31 January and The Palace in Melbourne on Tuesday 5 February.

Of Monsters And Men’s music carries a dynamic live energy mixed with folk charm and fist-pumping choruses. Wielding the catchiest of tunes, the accordions, glockenspiels and horns offer something uplifting and atmospheric, all underpinned by electric guitars, creating an expansive dimension to their sound. Lyrically, their elaborately crafted blend of modern folk-rock tells stories of nature, love and mysticism.

Since it’s release in April this year their debut album, My Head Is An Animal, has reached the ARIA Top 50 charts and is an iTunes Top 20 album. And its first single, Little Talks, went GOLD nationally just last week.

Theirs is a harmony sweeter than sugar, an anthem skyscraper-tall and a story magical and otherworldly. Do not miss out.
