SINEAD BURGESS CONFIRMED TO SUPPORT OWL CITY ON NOVEMBER TOUR
Back in July, Chugg Entertainment proudly confirmed the return of singer, song-writer and multi-instrumentalist, Adam Young (aka Owl City) to Australian shores. Following the success of his huge hit with Carly Rae Jepsen, Good Time, it was no surprise that news of his return was met with a thrilled response from his fans.
We can now confirm that Australian songstress Sinead Burgess will be joining Owl City on his string of Australian dates starting in Melbourne with two shows on Sunday 18 November at The Corner Hotel; one Under 18s show in the afternoon and an 18+ show in the evening, finishing up in Sydney on Tuesday 20 November at the Metro Theatre (Licensed All Ages).
Burgess’ debut single, Goodbye America, is released today. Musically it’s a triumphant slice of jubilant rock-pop, but the lyrics tell a bittersweet story of first love lost. “I went away and lived in the States for a while and fell in love, fell out of love,” the Beachmere-borne, now Sydney-resident singer/songwriter explains, “I found my heart, and got it broken - it’s probably the first true, deep love for someone that I’d felt. I was 19, it was definitely exciting and new.” After pairing up with UK pop wunderkind Stuart Chrichton - who has worked with the likes of Kylie, Guy Sebastian and Sophie Ellis Bextor, Burgess’ sound began to evolve into what she calls “stylistically, it is on the rock-pop side of country.”
Come experience Owl City’s catchy tunes & experimental beats and Sinead Burgess’ joyous style of rock-pop this November.
