NME
"With songs as strong as the ones on Torches, Foster can rest assured that his audiences will be quite astounded and marvel that Foster has much more up his sleeve than “Pumped up Kicks” and that Foster the People are just getting started.”

It has been a whirlwind year for Foster The People, a band that less than twenty months ago were relatively unknown. That all changed with the release of the extremely catchy and now certified platinum single Pumped Up Kicks and the Global release of their debut album Torches.
Forming in late 2009, this last year has seen Foster The People take out a Top 10 Album on the Billboard 200, a monstrous hit at top 40 radio, numerous TV appearances, dozens of headlining concerts, a best new artist Nomination at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and coveted performance slots at Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
And finally, after enamouring their US fans,Foster The People have heeded the call of their fans in Asia and will officially be winging their way there in the New Year to give crowds in Singapore, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur the chance to experience their charisma and magic first hand. Touching down in Jakarta on Wednesday 11 January to play the Tennis Indoor Senayan, the band will then head over to Kuala Lumpur to take the stage at the KL Convention Centre on Friday 13 January, before finishing up the following night Singapore’s Fort Canning on Saturday 14 January.
You will be captivated by their onstage authenticity – their locomotive live beats and star-crossed guitars, sparring with perpetually pulsating synths. Foster The People are THE band that should be on everyone’s list of “must see concerts” for 2012!
