Marina & The Diamonds
Announce Side Shows

"Hailed as the new Kate Bush and certain to be one of 2010's most ubiquitous tips, her debut album proves she's got the depth of tunes and ideas to match the hype."

The Guardian

Already announced as part of the Falls Festival, Field Day Festival and Southbound Festival line-ups, Chugg Entertainment and XIII Touring are today pleased to announce two exclusive sideshows for Marina & The Diamonds, in Melbourne and Sydney.

Kicking off Marina's Australian tour is the first of her special side shows, on Tuesday 28 December at the Hi Fi in Melbourne. She then heads to Lorne on Wednesday 29 December for Falls Festival before playing the second of her side shows on Thursday 30 December in Sydney at The Factory Theatre. After wowing the New Year's Day crowd on Saturday 1 January at Sydney's Field Day Festival Marina will finish up the tour on stage at Southbound Festival in Margaret River on Sunday 2 January.

Marina & The Diamonds might sound like a singer with a backing band but, much like fellow UK sensation Florence & The Machine, this is a misconception. In fact Marina and the Diamonds is the work of Welsh born Marina Diamandis. The Diamonds are you - the fans and if you're not a diamond yet, chances are you will be soon.

Marina & The Diamonds' debut album The Family Jewels entered the UK charts at number 5 on release and its singles Shampain and Oh No! have become major hits seeing her become a favourite at Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds and The Great Escape Festivals.

Diamandis is also known her her unique style. When asked about her look - she described it in three words: vintage, cheerleader and cartoon. It's this unique outlook that led to Marina taking part in English fashion chain Selfridges' Sounds of Music campaign leading her to act as a live mannequin in their Oxford Street store. A self made icon in waiting it's not hard to think that there are plenty of diamonds in this young lady's future
