Londoners FLORENCE & THE MACHINE have had an enormously successful 2009 off the back of their fierce, thrilling, Mercury Prize-nominated debut Lungs. And what lungs the 22-year old frontwoman must possess. Capable of raising roofs with her voice and raising temperatures with her fiery, impassioned performances, Florence is a talent of the kind that emerges only every so often.
